Developer Avocados 🥑 Weekly - Issue 14
Developer Avocados 🥑 Weekly
We wanted to take a break for New Year's, but the fact that both of us got sick in the meantime made the break a lot longer than we wanted. We're back now, and with a month worth of content, this first edition of 2019 is going to be slightly longer than our usual newsletters, and sadly it's also leaving out a lot of decent content that got published in January. We'll keep that in our back pocket, and insert a few in the coming issues, when there's a lull in content.
What exactly do developer advocates do? - in which Lynne Tye asked 15 developer avocados what do they actually do and how they got started.
How To Rock The Call For Papers And Get Your Talk Picked - in which Jono Bacon is sharing seven of his personal recommendations on how to tackle the CFP.
DevRel and the Increasing Popularity of the Developer Advocate - in which Jennifer Riggins sat down with three developer advocates to figure out what their roles really mean.
Don’t feel like an expert? Share anyway. - in which Sara Wachter-Boettcher encourages you to find that special something about your perspective, no matter where you are in your career, and then share it.
4 Discovered Axioms of #DevRel - in which Adron Hall lists several key points that have come up that are practical axioms in the DevRel industry.
How to Manage Your Fear of Public Speaking - in which Sarah Milstein share 12 simple steps to make the adrenaline effects of public speaking less severe and to combat your own internal monologue about how people will receive your talk.
My Journey to Keynote @ DroidconSF - in which Britt Barak shares her journey to keynotting Droidcon in the hope it's going to inspire you to follow in her footsteps.
DevRel is like coffee.. and other profundities. - in which Jeremy makes a solid argument that Developer Relations is a lot like coffee.
